The Midgard Serpent Dawn Cup is a glass art piece tailored for Western coffee rituals. Inspired by Jörmungandr, the World Serpent of Norse mythology, it employs the thousand-year-old Murano glassblowing technique from Italy, fusing the deep sea’s indigo and the morning light’s softness into one. The handle coils like a giant serpent, with blue-purple scales shimmering like mother-of-pearl under light, and golden pupils gazing at the liquid inside—symbolizing the "world cycle" secret from Norse legends.
The cup’s gradient colors originate from the Mediterranean sunrise: the bottom’s gray-green resembles moss around deep-sea hydrothermal vents, fading into lavender and sky blue, mimicking the moment when the sun pierces the morning mist. This color transition uses the lost Roman "hot-melt mosaic" technique, requiring artisans to manually layer each hue at 1,700°C, resulting in a gem-like transparency. The tiny bubbles deliberately preserved at the rim are Murano craftsmen’s "breathing pores," symbolizing the "life cycle" philosophy in Norse mythology.

In Western culture, a coffee cup is not just a vessel but a symbol of identity and aesthetics. This cup combines Jörmungandr’s "eternal cycle" meaning with the elegance of French coffee rituals, suitable as a high-end gift or personal collection. When hot coffee is poured in, the interaction between liquid and glass creates a "deep-sea vortex" visual effect, as if the giant serpent awakens from slumber—echoing the epic sense of Ragnarök in Norse mythology. Whether placed on a New York loft’s breakfast bar or a London apartment’s fireplace, it becomes a "visual anchor" in the space, elevating daily coffee time into a dual tribute to mythology and craftsmanship.
